Hey everyone and thanks again for reading my latest Real Estate Newsletter! I want to apogolize for not posting every week. It has been a goal of mine from the start to post my blogs weekly, do my live streams weekly, and send out weekly real estate newsletters. However, with moving from Louisville to Shelbyville my time has been spent unpacking boxes, getting my office ready for work and thankfully being busy with clients who need to purchase or sell a home. So I hope you will accept my apology as a continue to get the office, home, and my clients ready to go.
This week in the Mortgage Interest Rate market interest rates fell to 5.3%, from last week's 5.51%. These rate decreases come from the large number of homebuyers that are having to pause their home purchase plans due to the high mortgage interest rates; and after the federal reserve annouced another 0.75% interest rate hike, which will likely cause mortgage interest rates to rise even further.
In the Louisville Real Estate Market the shift is being seen in a spectacular fashion. Today, 2,125 listings are live and on the market here in the Louisville Multiple Listing Service. This is more homes active than I have seen in over 3 years. More listings mean homebuyers have more homes to view and don't have to compromise like some may have done in the past. For seller's it means more competition for their home, and the possibility of less eyeballs viewing your home. For seller's one idea is to make your house stand out; hire a Realtor who uses professional photographs to capture your home in the best light. Invest in some curb appeal, to make the front of your home pop when a potential home buyer drives by it. These simple things can, not only get your home sold in this shifting market; but may also get it sold for more money than your competitiors.
