Check Out This Week's Real Talk Friday!

Another Sunday and here is your Weekly Real Estate Newsletter - Absurdity Day. Today we take time to think about all the absurd things that have happened or are happening in our lives. Maybe it was the absurd things you did as a kid, we all did some absurd stuff back then. Maybe it is some absurdity you experience at work or everyday at home. Whatever absurdity you have to deal with today is the day to reflect on it and see if you can eliminate it or laugh about it.

This week mortgage interest rates took a major drop, rates fell to an average of 6.61% this week, as a result, owning a home became 5% less expensive than a week ago. If inflation starts to stablize we may see mortgage interest rates stablize below the 7+% we have experienced of late.

In the Louisville Real Estate Market however, the housing market continues to remain in Hot Seller's Market territory. Today, 2,276 listings are live on the market here in the Louisville Multiple Listing Service. In the Lexington Multiple Listing Service we have 2,808 listings that are live on the market. And in the Northern Kentucky Multiple Listing Service we have 822 for a combined total of 5,906 listings on the market. The absorption rate or months worth of inventory sits at 1.60 indiciating a Seller's Market.

If you or someone you know has questions about the real estate market, or you would like a personal neighborhood market report don't hesitate to reach out and ask.

You can also visit my website www.shopkentuckyhomes.com - and enter your zip code to receive a market report as well.

Don't try to navigate this changing housing market alone, have confidence by having a professional by your side during your real estate transaction.
