This week the Mortgage Interest Rates as published by Freddie Mac sank to 2.72%, down .12 points from last week’s 2.84%, but better than last year’s 3.66%. 2.72% is the 13th record low interest rate this year and is the lowest ever seen since recording started back in 1971. If you are paying more than 4% on your mortgage, contact me today! A refinance may be the way to go for you, if you plan to stay in your home for a while.

This week in Louisville and Lexington Kentucky there were 3,946 (+14) homes & condos for sale, with the average days on market sitting at 38.70 (-0.1 Days). We are now at 1.54 (-0.04 Months) months of inventory, making this a “Seller’s Market” which is under the six months needed to have a “Balanced Market”. Builder’s Are Starting to Catch Up with Inventory Levels, Slowly But Surely!

The Average Sale Price for October 2020 was $269,669 (Up $8,262 from September 2020), with Median Selling Price being $222,838 (Up $2,838 from September 2020). These numbers are up from last year’s $231,275 and $189,900 respectively. As you can see average home sales prices went up from September to October, and, the Median Selling Price also went up between September and October. This is a sign that housing prices may not be finished rising just yet.
