This week mortgage interest rates according to Fannie Mac fell this week to a rate of 3.10% against last week’s 3.11% this was a small drop that won't impact the market all too much.
For October in the Louisville/Lexington Market there were 3,877 Active & Pending Single Family Homes/Condos with 1,740 Sold.
We have a 25.40 average days on market for our area with 1.39 Months of Inventory Available.
October 2021 saw an Average Selling Price for a home at $288,519 compared to $268,869 in October 2020. - An over $20,000 increase in just 1-Year!!
1693 Homes were sold in October of 2021 compared to 1756 in October of 2020.
Median Selling Price for homes in October of 2021 closed at $240,000 compared to $221,250 in October of 2020.
Mortgage interest rates are projected to climb, with some projections showing 3.70% as the median for 2022.
These higher interest rates will cost home buyer's additional money in interest. You can avoid the interest hikes by locking in your rate today, or if you currently own your home and will benefit from a refinancing, refinancing at today's historic rates.
