Message From David Hittle, Realtor - United Real Estate Louisville
Today is Christmas Day! I want to thank each and everyone of you who have trusted me to help with your real estate transaction. As we head for the end of the year I look forward to continuing to partner with you to make the new year a dream for even more people. Thank you for all of your support and I look forward to helping you in the future.
Christmas Week and we get even greater news, this week mortgage interest rates dropped for the fifth consecutive week. Rates this week averaged 6.27%, down from the high of 7.08% achieved earlier this year. As the Federal Reserve continues to get a handle on America's inflation problem, interest rates are bound to continue to fluctuate. All we know for sure, is that interest rates right now are on a downward streak, but that could change anytime. If you are thinking about buying a home but the interest rates have you a little freaked out remember this adage because it rings true today more than ever: "Marry the Home, Date the Rate." When interest rates fall in the future you can always refinance, you won't always have the chance to buy that home for that price. Don't miss your opportunity to own the home you want to own, because while interest rates are going up and down, home prices are going up, up, up.
In the Louisville Real Estate Market however, the housing market continues to remain in Hot Seller's Market territory. Today, 1,971 listings are live on the market here in the Louisville Multiple Listing Service. In the Lexington Multiple Listing Service we have 2,532 listings that are live on the market. And in the Northern Kentucky Multiple Listing Service we have 736 for a combined total of 5,239 listings on the market. The absorption rate or months worth of inventory sits at 1.64 continuing to indiciate a Seller's Market in Louisville, Kentucky.
If you or someone you know has questions about the real estate market, or you would like a personal neighborhood market report don't hesitate to reach out and ask.
You can also visit my website www.shopkentuckyhomes.com - and enter your zip code to receive a market report as well.
Don't try to navigate this changing housing market alone, have confidence by having a professional by your side during your real estate transaction.
