I apologize, as it has been a long time since I have sent a weekly newsletter. Life happens and when it does family comes first!
Mortgage rates fell this week despite the Federal Reserve raising rates. Rates this week fell to 6.35% versus last week's 6.39%. The reduced mortgage rates is making it easier for home buyer's to become homeowners as rents continue to rise year after year. As inflation slows mortgage rates should begin to decline as well which would be even better news for homebuyers and home seller's alike.
In the Louisville Real Estate Market, the housing market continues to remain in Hot Seller's Market territory. Today, 1,559 listings are live on the market here in the Louisville Multiple Listing Service. In the Lexington Multiple Listing Service we have 2,035 listings that are active and on the market. And in the Northern Kentucky Multiple Listing Service we have 631 for a combined total of 4,226 listings on the market. The absorption rate or months worth of inventory sits at 1.35 months continuing to indiciate a Seller's Market in Louisville, Kentucky.
