This week mortgage interest rates according to Fannie Mac jumped this week to a rate of 3.22% against last week’s 3.11% this was a major jump that may be signaling the start of increased rates for the rest of 2022.
For December in the Louisville/Lexington Market there were 2,968 (-488) Active & Pending Single Family Homes/Condos with 1,614 (+60) Sold.
We have a 26.90 (-0.3) average days on market for our area with 1.21 (-0.10) Months of Inventory Available.
November 2021 saw an Average Selling Price for a home at $284,473 compared to $258,699 in November 2020. - An over $25,000 increase in just 1-Year!!
1527 Homes were sold in November of 2021 compared to 1631 in November of 2020.
Median Selling Price for homes in November of 2021 closed at $241,005 compared to $221,835 in November of 2020.
Mortgage interest rates are projected to climb, with some projections showing 3.70% as the median for 2022.
These higher interest rates will cost home buyer's additional money in interest. You can avoid the interest hikes by locking in your rate today, or if you currently own your home and will benefit from a refinancing, refinancing at today's historic rates.
